Print and cut care labels without interruption
TSC Auto ID Technology EMEA GmbH has expanded its thermal transfer label printer line TTP-2410M to include a powerful cutting tool for care labels. The tool is attached in front of the output slot of the industrial printer so that clothing manufacturers can print their own care labels with letters, care symbols, barcodes or logos and can then cut individual tags from the endless web without interruption.
(firmenpresse) - Before buying a new pair of trousers or slacks or a new pullover, it is always a good idea to check the care label. Care labels use standard pictograms to show customers whether the article has to be dry cleaned or the temperature at which it can be washed at home. Almost all clothing producers today provide their goods with the corresponding care information to increase the wearing life of their products.
Manufacturing in large volumes
To facilitate the labelling of articles of clothing for the manufactures, TSC Auto ID Technology has expanded its thermal transfer label printer series TTP-2410M to include a new cutting tool for care labels. The tool is attached in front of the output slot of the industrial printer and ensures a printing and cutting of the labels at high printing speed (up to 101.6 millimetres a second) without interruption. "Users can easily print and cut 120 labels a minute or more than 7,200 labels an hour if they use the consumables approved by TSC," says Henning Mahlstedt, European Sales Manager at TSC Auto ID Technology EMEA GmbH.
The cutting mechanism of TSC cuts care labels made from textiles, bands, paper, polyester or nylon materials with a thickness of up to 0.15 millimetres and material widths of at least 25.4 millimetres (1") to a maximum of 70 millimetres (2.76"). The labels are printed on one side, cut and then dropped into the printer's collection drawer. The rotating blade meets the demands of the industry and has proved to be very reliable in tests.
The label length can vary from at least 10 millimetres (0.39") up to a maximum length of 4064 millimetres (160") for the selected TTP-2410M model. Users can choose between resolutions of 203 dpi, 300 dpi and 600 dpi for their care labels and can provide them with letters, care symbols, barcodes and logos. Just like all TSC products, the new cutting tool also comes with a two-year warranty.
Proven industrial label printers
The industry printers of the TTP-2410M line have a high printing head temperature so that the printed information can withstand a high number of washing and cleaning processes. They also provide a lot of standard features at a reasonable price. They include internal Ethernet-, USB 2.0 and PS/2-keyboard interfaces, 32 MB SDRAM, 8 MB FLASH memory and a slot for SD cards. The user can thus add an additional 4 GB FLASH memory at a reasonable cost. TSC supplies all printers with the TSPL-EZ firmware which supports three different printer languages incl. TSC printer language, TPLE (Translation Printer Language Eltron®) and TPLZ (Translation Printer Language Zebra®). The industry printers of the TTP-2410M line are the fastest printers in the TSC product line and are also suitable for very heavy duty print demands thanks to their robust aluminium housing
