(firmenpresse) - ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 08/01/13 -- Aurion Resources Ltd. ("Aurion") (TSX VENTURE: AU) is pleased to announce that shareholders voted in favour of all items of business brought before them at the company's Annual General Meeting held on July 23, 2013, in St, John's, NL.
At the AGM, shareholders voted in favour of all nominations to the board of directors, with Mike Basha, Richard Graham, David Loveys, Henry Awmack and Dennis Clarke re-elected to the board. Mike Basha was reconfirmed as President and CEO, David Loveys was reconfirmed as the CFO and George Smith was reconfirmed as the Vice President of Exploration.
Brad Mercer did not stand for re-election to the board of directors due to his expanding role at Capstone as Executive Vice President of Exploration but will continue as an advisor to Aurion. The company thanks Mr. Mercer for his contribution to the company.
Shareholders also reappointed Deloitte LLP, as the auditor of the Company, approved the Company's stock option plan, and approved the Company's advance notice policy.
