(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/02/13 -- Cooley LLP announced today that it has strengthened its national patent counseling and prosecution capability with the admission of Joseph Teja, Jr. as a partner. Teja joins Cooley from Foley & Lardner where he was a partner in that firm's electronics and green energy technologies practices and a member of its emerging technologies industry team. He will be resident in Cooley's Boston office.

"The addition of Joe to the firm is not just a wonderful development for Cooley's thriving intellectual property practice, but is also another step in the continuing growth of Cooley's Boston office," said Al Browne, partner-in-charge of Cooley's Boston office. "Joe's IP expertise in the areas of electrical engineering and computing will position him as a key resource to many of our technology clients, both those in the greater New England region, as well as across the firm."

Cooley's IP litigation practice group is consistently recognized as a national leader for its innovative strategies in patent, copyright and trademark legal services. For the second year running, the National Law Journal named Cooley to its elite "IP Hot List" in 2013.
