KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 14.08.2013 AT 09.00 1(2)
The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in July 2013 totalled ?809.1 million, up
1.3%.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in July were ?372.5 million, an increase of 6.2%
compared to the previous year. In July, the number of delivery days was one more
than in the previous year.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in July were ?109.6 million, a
decrease of 8.3%. Sales performance was particularly impacted by the decrease in
department store sales, as well as network changes in Musta Pörssi and
Intersport Russia. Sales were up in Finland in Intersport and Budget Sport.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in July were ?240.1 million, a
decrease of 4.8%. Sales in Finland were down 0.4%. Sales abroad decreased by
7.7% in terms of euros. Excluding the impact of retailer changes in Norway,
sales abroad decreased by 1.0%.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in July were ?98.7 million, an increase of
13.8%. VV-Auto's sales in July were ?60.4 million, up 15.6%. Konekesko's sales
in July were ?38.3 million, an increase of 11.0% from the previous year.

year.
In July 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
23, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of selling
days in January-July was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail
selling days in July was 31, which was the same as in the previous year. The
total number of retail selling days in January-July was one less than in the
previous year.
