The Annual 11-Day Culinary Event Celebrates Grand Rapids 4th Year Holding the Largest Restaurant Week Event in Michigan

(firmenpresse) - GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/13 -- The event spearheaded by Experience Grand Rapids was developed in 2010 to profile the scores of quality locally owned farm-to-fork restaurants that are also making Grand Rapids grow in culinary stature and reputation.
Seventy-three restaurants will beckon guests from West Michigan and beyond to taste their creative menus that profile fresh-from-the-farm produce and products:
Sweet corn, artisan greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, beans, onions, carrots, and much more are on Restaurant Week Grand Rapids menus;
Fresh fruits such as watermelon, fresh berries and peaches are featured;
Lake Michigan perch and whitefish from the Great Lakes as well as locally raised grass-fed and organic beef, lamb, pork and chicken are also aplenty;
Chewy local artisan breads, fresh locally roasted nuts and coffees, locally harvested honeys, and locally made homemade ice cream and gelato are also featured on many menus.
