The new iOS development framework brings PC functionality to mobile devices, seamlessly connecting content directly into and across popular applications and cloud services. Ink offers people a better way to work by providing a way to easily move content between their favorite apps and cloud services. Within the Ink framework, the Ink workspace presents people with a list of apps that can be used, along with their actions, within a workflow. And with the Ink framework in place, people can open a contract in email, sign it with their favorite signature app, reply with the signed contract and store to their cloud storage all in one single, fluid experience.

"If you want to complete an action with an app that's not on your device, we'll ask if you want to install it and then take you to the app store, where you can download the app, and once you launch the new app Ink will automatically send you back into the workflow to complete the task."
Ink provides the tools developers need to connect their applications with the broader software ecosystem, enabling new levels of engagement and improving user experience. Whether it's photos or documents, presentations or plans, Ink allows developers to integrate the features people need to select their files from their accounts.
