(firmenpresse) - BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/16/13 -- Intrepid Mines Limited ("Intrepid", the "Company") (TSX: IAU)(ASX: IAU) advises that it has become aware of comments in The Australian newspaper this morning (16 August 2013) stating that the Company had sought access to the data room of Finders Resources Limited.
As advised in the Company Update issued on 8 August 2013, Intrepid is actively pursuing new investment opportunities. In this regard, the Company has signed and will sign confidentiality agreements with interested parties and access data rooms relating to potential investment opportunities.
At this time, no investigations into any opportunity have reached the stage where an announcement to the market is appropriate. The Company will continue to keep the market fully informed in accordance with its obligations.
