Berlin-based ATLAS.ti GmbH helps reseachers to systematically tap vast amounts of"non-traditional"data

(firmenpresse) - ATLAS.ti GmbH, the leading manufacturer of qualititative data analysis software, reports another significant growth in sales, revenue, and user base for 2010. Jörg Hecker, Director of Business Operations of the Berlin-based company, expects this growth rate to continue for the current years as well, in keeping with the unbroken trend of the past ten years.
It is clear that ATLAS.ti has successfully mastered the challenges of the exploding market in data research. Researchers in a variety of fields are increasingly focusing on exploring "soft data" (as found in text and image data offline as well as online) as a source of valuable information. This includes nearly all forms of unstructured, non-numerical data that ultimately contain more value and grant better insight into a given field than rigid statistical data. Add to that audio, video and even geo data, which ATLAS.ti can also handle, and it is easy to see why ATLAS.ti not only is already the tool of choice for a majority of social scientists and market researchers but is also poised to ride the next big wave of analyzing the opinion streams in the social media.
During the first decade of the 21st century, ATLAS.ti GmbH has grown steadily. 2010 was no exception. In 2011 the company plans to further increase its activities on all levels. It is expanding its presence in the social media, sponsors major industry events, and takes part in numerous major conferences and trade fairs. As every year, one of the highlights each year is ATLAS.ti's participation in the "Berliner Methodentreffen," the largest and most important conference of its kind in Europe. And through a close cooperation with U.S.-based Ethnoanalysis Research and Consulting, ATLAS.ti is currently establishing a comprehensive training and consulting program that will offer full software training services. Both full online and face-to-face workshops and a premium service support line as well as free introductory online training for all new users of the software will be available starting April 2011.
