First Half of 2013

- EBIT improved by approx. 7 percent to EUR 0.481 million
- Net earnings rise from EUR 0.310 million to EUR 0.340 million
- Forecast for 2013 confirmed for sales and operating profit
Hamburg, August 23, 2013. Softship AG (ISIN: DE0005758304), a software
provider for shipping and aviation with worldwide operations, can look back
on the best first half-year in the company's history. Sales improved by 13
percent to EUR 5.61 million in the first six months of 2013 after EUR 4.98
million in the same period of the previous year. EBIT, i.e. earnings before
interest and taxes, rose by approx. 7 percent to EUR 0.481 million after
EUR 0.448 million in the same period of the previous year. The Group's net
profit improved from EUR 0.310 million to EUR 0.340 million. Thus EUR 0.18
were earned per share, after EUR 0.17 in the same period of the previous
year.
The growth was mainly based on solid figures for business from new
customers in the area of shipping as well as a stable capacity utilization
in the area of services for both segments, shipping and aviation. Softship
AG expects that the positive business development will continue and
confirms the forecast for 2013. The volume of sales ought to increase to a
range of around EUR 10.6 to 11 million, and a margin of more than 8 percent
is again expected for the EBIT.
