GRACE: The world's coolest ebikes.
Biesenthal / Friedrichshafen, 26 August 2013. EUROBIKE 2013, to be held
between 28 and 31 August in Friedrichshafen, Germany, is an appropriate
staging for 'The world's coolest ebikes'. As in the previous year, the
GRACE ebike brand will utilise the world's largest bicycle trade fair to
showcase its new models and model variants for the 2014 cycling season.
'People's requirements of ebikes are not only rising - they are also
becoming increasingly varied. The days when it was enough to weld an
electric motor onto a bicycle frame are over. GRACE knows no compromises
between design and technology,' notes Grace's founder Michael Hecken.
GRACE is again setting standards on today's bike market with its new MX II
model. This model's avant-garde design is reminiscent of a mystical black
bird, which is why it also bears the in-house moniker of 'Blackbird'.
As far as technical equipment is concerned, the new Bosch Gen2 performance
line on the MX II is certain to generate an enthusiastic response. 'Already
at the ISPO Bike, which was held in Munich at the end of July, I spotted
some visitors with open mouths looking at the MX II Urban. The symbiosis
between frame/fork combination and the Bosch Gen2 motor system has made an
impression - also with our competitors,' commented Karlheinz Nicolai from
cult forging company Nicolai and also a GRACE founder.
The motor on the GRACE MX II Urban relies on the combination of Gates
CarbonDrive and NuVinci N360 hub, which proved its worth on the MX I. In
the case of the GRACE MX II Trail, deploying Rock Shox Sektor Gold RL and a
10-speed SRAM X9 gearset ensures optimal off-road performance.
'Whether through the urban jungle, up hill and down dale, or on red-hot
asphalt - GRACE brand models allow all conceivable environmental contexts
to be handled stylishly and powerfully,' is the conclusion of product
manager Benjamin Börries.
Along with the GRACE MX II, GRACE will now present its purist GRACE EASY
city bike - which ExtraEnergy has just announced as its test winner in its
Classic Pedelec category - in a RED DOT Design Award Edition, equipped with
high-end Brooks and Ritchey parts. The MX I will be presented in a limited
edition in two special colours especially for Eurobike 2013. And last, but
not least, the already legendary GRACE ONE and GRACE PRO models will be on
show at Eurobike - the high-end racers of the Berlin-based brand - whose
fans include VIPs such as Prince Albert of Monaco and Leonardo DiCaprio.
And what is more: EUROBIKE visitors who want to get a feel for themselves
of how it is to ride a GRACE bike can do so at the fair at the ebike test
course on the East open ground (FGO 314). The GRACE stand at EUROBIKE 2013
is located in Hall B1 - stand number 201. Along with GRACE staff, both
company founders, Michael Hecken and 'Kalle' Nicolai, will also be present
and available to answer questions.
It is already clear that the GRACE stand will definitely receive one
visitor: Undersecretary Dr. Michael Kühne, who heads up the vehicle
construction department at the German Environment Ministry, will visit the
GRACE stand at EUROBIKE and will hold a discussion with Michael Hecken.
