DLC-Coated IR Windows and Lenses
Remarkably Scratch Resistant
(PresseBox) - LASER COMPONENTS has presented IR windows based on Silicon or Germanium.
Diamond like carbon coatings, DLC, consist of adamantine carbon layers. They are highly resistant and safely withstand the Windscreen Wiper Test TS1888. At the same time, this coating functions as a single layer anti-reflective coating.
In the hybrid DLC version, these layers are combined with dielectric layers using a special method. This unites the resistance of the carbon layer with the improved transmittance of a dielectrical coating.
