DATRON Presents New Power Milling Machine"MLCube"For Large-Format Manufacturing(firmenpresse) - Muehltal, Germany, September 2013 - DATRON AG, a leading supplier of efficient portal milling machines and other technologies, presents a new exciting product in time for the EMO 2013 industry show: The DATRON MLCube, a powerful, highly dynamic HSC portal milling machine for large format cutting. The MLCube is especially suitable for extremely cost-efficient machining of aluminium, brass and plastic sheets, or for high-speed milling of composites. With an effective working area of 1,520 x 1,150 x 245 mm, the new DATRON CNC large-format milling machine was developed for production companies that manufacture, for example, many small parts from large sheets or produce large-scale housings. The MLCube can be set up very fast due to a zero-point clamping system, and with its impressive technical performance data in terms of precision, contour accuracy and dynamics is the productive universal machine of choice for high-quality HSC milling, featuring flexibility in horizontal and vertical machining of large components. The MLCube HSC milling machine offers a great price-performance ratio.
In addition to a comprehensive range of equipment, accessories and innovative software tools (e.g. PerfectCut contour smoothing) the new MLCube features a new vacuum clamping technology that can be switched on and off electronically, allowing quick and easy docking of work pieces and parts in various sizes. In addition, the new power machine provides excellent operator access and offers a new chip disposal concept that promotes sustainable work ergonomics due to stackable chip containers.
Matthias Reck, Chief Technology Officer of DATRON AG, commented on the product launch: "The MLCube demonstrates the DATRON own achievement of large working surface to small floor space ratio to perfection in the large-format cutting sector.
