Self-developed Scoring Model identifies profitable games

(firmenpresse) - Hamburg, 28. April 2011 - Today, three months after their foundation, Games Agents announce the development of their own scoring model for profitable games. The Games Agents Score illustrates all categories important for a successful project. Due to objectively measurable criteria and rating points, it is possible to create a convincing Commercial Due Diligence for each game. This can serve as a reliable basis for meeting investment decisions.

"The commercial success of a game is primarily defined by the choice of an appropriate game concept and developer team. If there are weaknesses or friction losses, the game will never become a bestseller, but stay a mediocrity," explains Joerg Rohrer, a co-founder of Games Agents. His partner, Frank Pfeiffer adds: "We have dedicated ourselves to providing profitable games for the investors in gaming sector. To fulfil these high requirements, it was indispensable to develop our own scoring scheme, which tends to take into account all factors leading to success, making them objectively measurable. This model will help filter out what type of games can become hits".

The Games Agents Score was developed under the supervision of Steffen Ruehl, the third partner of Games Agents. He brought into the scoring scheme not only his superb product and market knowledge, but also his wealth of experience and excellent know-how in the sectors Game Design, Game Development as well as Lead Producing. As a result, Games Agents created a tool, which has a rarity value in Europe. Steffen Ruehl explains: "The Games Agents Score comprises six areas of investigation defined by more than 60 parameters, judged on the basis of an extensive questionnaire. Besides the project, also the developer team, budgeting and timelines are subjected to close examination. Each of the categories is precisely examined and rated on the basis of numerous details. On a whole, we have created a comprehensive picture of the project and team. This in turn puts us in a position to be able to judge objectively and help meet investment decisions for certain game projects. With the Games Agent Score we are aware of our huge responsibilities towards investors and customers."

The Games Agents Score has already passed the crucial test during its Beta-Phase, for it was already successfully used and highly appreciated by customers from publishing and banking sectors.

At the moment Games Agents look forward to the roll out of their "model of success". Especially publishers, game funds, banks, private investors and funding committees are particularly interested in Games Agents Score, since it is an ideal instrument to control and secure investment decisions for upcoming game projects, and that already at an early stage.
