On Saturday, October 19, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will host new events celebrating the change of season including a pumpkin patch in the woods and a special Harvest Beer Dinner in . Resort and local guests are invited to bring their families to enjoy fall-themed activities including a candy apple bar, hot cider tasting and pumpkin painting in the backyard of the resort from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Harvest Beer Dinner will take place in Manzanita, the resort's signature Lake Tahoe restaurant from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and feature a three-course dinner inspired by fall with select pairings of seasonal beers.
The was designed for couples to reconnect while enjoying a Lake Tahoe spa vacation. The package includes deluxe room or suite accommodations for two guests, waived resort fee (which includes access to the Spa relaxation areas, in-room Internet access and more), and each guest's choice of one seasonal Spa Special Treatment per person, per day. The package is available beginning September 22 through November 21, 2013 starting at $449.00 per room, per night.
Three signature treatments are featured for the fall season, each starting at $129 per treatment, offering guests added value when visiting . Choice of treatments include:
- A customized massage that will be designed to meet your needs of muscle tension and desired massage technique using a blend of organic essential oils. (50 minutes)
- Experience the purest, bio-dynamic facial on earth featuring the toning and hydrating effects of calendula and eucalyptus oils, which leave skin soft and silky. Soak up essential vitamins and antioxidants of hawthorn and bearberry to heal and restore. Active masques refine and rejuvenate with radish seed, primrose and melon. (50 minutes)
- The vitality of minerals from the Swiss Alps free the skin from impurities while the feet and legs are thoroughly moisturized incorporating molten wax massage from the Baborganic Wellness Candle. The skin will be left intensely hydrated and protected from environmental elements. (80 minutes)
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe is a 17,000-square-foot Spa and Fitness Center featuring separate men's and women's relaxation lounges, 16 treatment rooms, outdoor private spa lap pool, private sauna, steam room, whirlpool and rain shower experience for men and women. The Fitness Center includes two cardiovascular and aerobic studios featuring spin and pilates classes with views of Northstar Mountain. A full-service hair salon, manicure and pedicure services are also available.
Throughout the season, The Flavors of Fall will be offered at Manzanita. Dinner guests are invited to indulge in the rich, bold flavors of the season with a prix fixe menu created by chef de cuisine Jeremy Grossman for $65 per person, $90 per person with optional wine pairing.
Guests interested in experiencing a more intimate dinner are welcome to reserve for up to eight people. This culinary journey features mountain-inspired California cuisine at the table adjacent to the exposition kitchen, paired with personal interaction with the chef de cuisine. Reservations and a $500 table minimum are required.
Every day, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe offers special activities for guests to participate in including Master Cooking Classes Friday afternoons through mid-November for up to eight guests, Art of the Cocktail pre-prohibition cocktail demonstrations paired with appetizers on Saturdays, "Yappy" Hour food and drink specials for canines and their companions on Sundays, and Behind the Scenes Tours of the Ritz-Carlton Kitchens every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.
Guests of all ages are also invited to roast s'mores and learn about the history of the marshmallow and traditional s'mores ingredients from The Ritz-Carlton "Marshmologist" every day at the resort's outdoor fire pit.
