Compressive stress sensor for sprayed concrete Compressive stress sensor for sprayed concrete

(firmenpresse) - Sensors for compressive stresses in small sizes for holes as well as in variants for mounting in the iron lattice can be made according to the procedure of IBJ Technology (http://www.ibj-technology.com) patent pending. The area includes a few millimetres out to several centimetres thick. The size of the enclosure is kept minimal. Can be fixed through flexible mounting wires to the housing of the sensor easily on the reinforcement in the concrete.
The sensor housing is protected against corrosion. The sensor is waterproof IP 68.
The sensor detects the compression of a metal body.
The compression are measured with ultrasonic pulse-echo method. In the case of concrete tension sensor, an ultrasonic sensor is included. The runtime in the measuring element is measured in high resolution.
The term declines linearly with the compression in the elastic range.
The concrete surrounding the transducer voltage imposed a deformation, or reducing the measuring element under load. The change in the thickness of the measuring element is not only load - or stress-dependent, but also on the temperature. A permanent temperature measurement is therefore integrated stress sensor.
The monitor to measure the elongation takes into account both factors.
The term due to the change in thickness and acousto elastical effect has reduced the influence of the surrounding concrete on the measuring element.
The monitor is equipped with a microprocessor determines the respective difference to the reference measurement without load or acting a stress and calculates the thickness change in stress to.
The absolute resolution of the sensors is independent of their thickness and better than 0.0001 mm and 0,1 ns.
An important application is the use of sensors to measure the load effect of the surrounding mountains on the tunnel lining or reinforcement.

The sensors are compatible with all modern ultrasonic devices for the determination of the elongation of the bolt or screw tension.
