Boston EMS to Receive National Emergency Management Disaster Preparedness Humanitarian Award for Its Exceptional Response to the Boston Marathon Bombings
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/18/13 -- Emergency Management will present the 2013 Disaster Preparedness Humanitarian Award to Boston Emergency Medical Services for its excellent response to the Boston Marathon bombings.
Boston EMS' incredibly efficient and text-book response to the incident is a testimonial to its frequent disaster preparedness training and exercises, as well as mutual aid partnerships. Boston EMS Chief James Hooley and his team cleared the scene of all bombing victims in 18 minutes. Because of personnel's speedy response, every victim who was transported to a local hospital survived.

Last year's recipient of the Humanitarian Award was the University of Denver Hospital Medical staff for their response to the mass shooting incident in Aurora.
