(PresseBox) - The Wearable Technologies Show will soon be hosted again at the A+A in Dusseldorf. From Tuesday, November 5 to Friday, November 8, 2013 the Wearable Technologies design booth in hall 9 can be visited at the world's largest specialist trade fair for all aspects of safety and security. Core topics of A+A 2013 are safety, security, and corporate health management, including prevention and therapy of psychological stress.
Exhibitors at our booth will cover all aforementioned categories. In addition to established solutions from Sportscurve, visitors of booth B73 will have the chance to learn about two exciting tracking services.
Sportscurve provides security solutions primarily, but not only, for sports. As the European distributor for ICEdot security products Sportscuve offers innovative safety-products for lone workers and athletes. With the GPS-based service team tracking Sportscurve supports rescue und security teams along their operations. This planning and distribution solution ensures the fastest possible help in case of emergency.
Dune will be exhibiting with us for the first time. The Italian company is an SME operating in R&D, aerospace, defense, underwater acoustics, robotics, industrial control and communications since 1980. At the A+A Dune will be presenting ARIANNA - a system for location and tracking of pedestrians based on the processing of raw inertial data. ARIANNAwas developed for environments in which the GPS signal is unreliable or non-existent (e.g. inside buildings, underground areas, GPS-denied environments). The system consists of three parts: A sensing unit, wearable on a shoe heel that provides raw inertial data. A computing unit, running on a commercial smartphone, that processes the raw data and transmits it to a remote station via Wi-Fi or Radio-Modem connection, and a MMI SW, running on the remote station, receiving and displaying processed data.

Our second new exhibitor is an application-oriented research and development provider for micro-technical components and systems called HSG-IMIT (Institut für Mikro- und Informationstechnik) .The institute will showcase an indoor system for pedestrian tracking and localization. The inertial sensors are attached to the foot or shoe of the wearer and connect via Bluetooth to an app on a tablet.
