Unterneukirchen (Germany), September 22, 2013. Today, the Supervisory Board
of SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AG announced that it was informed by the
CEO, Ines Kolmsee, that due to personal reasons she would not be available
for an extension of her contract as CEO of the company. Her current term is
to end on March 31, 2014. Ms. Kolmsee will be available until an adequate
successor is found and has been familiarized.
Since 2004, Ines Kolmsee is heading the mother company of the SKW
Metallurgie Group, initially as sole director of a limited liability
corporation and after its transformation into a stock corporation in May
2006, as CEO. Within the Executive Board, Ines Kolmsee is responsible for
the areas of Strategy, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Human Resources,
Investor and Public Relations, Legal as well as the SKW Metallurgie Group
companies in the US, in Brazil and the plant in Bhutan.
'For about the past ten years, my life has been dominated in particular by
my activities for SKW Metallurgie. During this time the company has been
established as the global market and technology leader in its industry, and
is, in my opinion, positioned very solidly. Therefore I now see the right
point in time to hand over the responsibility into new hands and to devote
more time to my family as well as to new professional challenges. Of
course, I am available to secure the transition as well as the
implementation of the comprehensive
Group-wide efficiency program, which has been initiated by the Executive
Board,' commented Ines Kolmsee, CEO of SKW Metallurgie, her decision.
'We respect Ms. Kolmsee's decision and thank her for the very high personal
commitment. Under Ms. Kolmsee's leadership, the SKW Metallurgie Group
advanced into the leading company within its industry. She also played a
crucial role in the successful IPO. The search for a successor has
commenced,' said the chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the company,
Mr. Titus Weinheimer.
