Tiburon, Inc. Files Lawsuit Against the County of Monroe, New York
(firmenpresse) - SAN RAMON, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/23/13 -- Tiburon, Inc., a leading provider of public safety software solutions, today announced the filing of a lawsuit in U.S. District Court, Western District of New York against the County of Monroe, New York.
Established in 1980, Tiburon, Inc. has successfully provided CAD and RMS systems to federal, regional and metropolitan law enforcement, fire & rescue, and corrections agencies for more than 30 years. In the filing, Tiburon cited the County's breaches of both a CAD contract and an RMS contract by frustrating Tiburon's ability to perform in a timely manner, attempting to unilaterally impose extra-contractual requirements on Tiburon, unilaterally changing the requirements of the projects, unilaterally restricting the months in which Tiburon could perform essential work, failing to respond in a timely manner to requests for essential approvals and information, unreasonably failing to employ standard project management and software testing processes, and ultimately improperly terminating the contracts and refusing to pay amounts that are due. "This is an extremely difficult day for Tiburon; however, after exhausting all efforts to gain a collaborative resolution, we have no choice but to take this action in light of Monroe County's unjustified termination of our two contracts after years of Tiburon's efforts that go well beyond the agreed-upon project scope," noted Jonathan Huberman, Tiburon President & CEO.
