SMARTRAC launches new BullsEye NFC tag with unique functionalities for high-volume product authentication and commercial marketing applications

Amsterdam, September 24, 2013 - SMARTRAC N.V., the leading developer,
manufacturer, and supplier of RFID transponders and inlays, today announced
the global launch of its innovative BullsEye NTAG210 Near Field
Communication (NFC) tag.
SMARTRAC BullsEye, industry's best-known all-purpose NFC tag, is now
available with the new NXP NTAG210 IC and is furthermore equipped with
unique ID (UID) mirror functionality which enables the IC's serial number
to be mirrored as part of its encoded URL address. This new feature enables
every tag to be seen and read uniquely from an application perspective
without the need to encode tags with variable numbers.
The new BullsEye NTAG210 NFC tag is the high-performing, cost-effective
option for product authentication, media adverts, smart posters, postcards,
and other high-volume applications that require simple URL addresses with
unique numbers but need little additional memory. Global brand owners can
benefit by harnessing NFC's capabilities while streamlining the
implementation of large-scale marketing campaigns.
Key technical features of the SMARTRAC BullsEye NTAG210 NFC tag:
- Antenna size: round 35 millimeter / 1.38 inch
- Die-cut size: round 38 millimeter / 1.50 inch
- Memory: 48 bytes user memory with password protection and UID
- UID mirror functionality
- Original signature feature
- NFC Forum Tag Type 2 and ISO/IEC 14443 Type A compliance
The SMARTRAC BullsEye NTAG210 NFC tag is the ideal solution for volume
applications with limited memory need but maximum tag performance required.
The new tag has been tested and qualified by major NFC smartphone brands.
BullsEye NTAG210 NFC tags are available immediately in sample quantities
for testing. Volume deliveries will start end of October 2013.

an industry event in Nuremberg, Germany, today.
