Option CloudGate enables GPS4Hire's fuel truck monitoring solution
CloudGate, the world's most configurable M2M 3G gateway provides Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and RS-232 serial in one cost effective M2M platform
(PresseBox) - 09.2013 - Option (EURONEXT: OPTI; OTC: OPNVY), the company connecting Things to the Cloud, today announces the successful deployment of the CloudGate M2M 3G gateway in GPS4Hire's innovative fuel truck monitoring solution. CloudGate enables remote connectivity to the vehicle and the fuel tank flow meters via the 3G connection to the GPS4Hire platform. This allows fuel distributors to have real time access to vehicle operation data, delivery status, and fuel capacity on hand. By implementing Options CloudGate 3G gateway, GPS4Hire has broadend the window of opportunity for M2M technology integration. The vehicle data is transmitted to the CloudGate over Wi-Fi from an adapter connected to the vehicle. The fuel tank instruments are connected via an RS-232 serial cable.
