The featured keynote speaker will be Walter Suarez, MD, MPH, Executive Director, Health IT Strategy and Policy for Kaiser Permanente. A physician and transformational thought leader on medical information systems, Dr. Suarez will review the development status of a risk-based regulatory framework for health IT that includes mobile medical applications, promotes innovation, protects patient safety, and avoids regulatory duplication. Dr. Suarez will discuss key principles, components and characteristics, and the way the industry is reacting to, and working towards its adoption and implementation.
The Educational Summit will be held the day before NCPDP's November Work Group meetings. NCPDP Work Group meetings provide a venue for its members and other industry stakeholders to work together to create solutions for healthcare. Non-members registered for the Summit can attend work group meetings at no additional charge.
