New York City Plastic Surgeon Reveals All in 3-Part Arm Lift Blog Series
Dr. Stafford R. Broumand Authors Three Blog Posts Spotlighting Every Facet of Arm Lift Surgery at His Practice
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/26/13 -- "Popular shirts and tops these days are being designed to show a lot more of the arm and shoulder, which consequently leads to an awareness, or in some cases, an insecurity about the appearance of one's arms," states NYC plastic surgeon Stafford R. Broumand, MD in recent blog post. The entry, entitled "," is the first in a series of three blog posts highlighting the increasingly popular cosmetic arm lift (brachioplasty) procedure from consultation to recovery.
Throughout the first entry, Dr. Broumand theorizes why more and more patients seem to be seeking surgery. In addition to the evolution of fashion trends, he highlights that two common reasons people are interested in brachioplasty stem from the residual effects of drastic weight loss and a growing belief that larger arms indicate a person is overweight. Regarding the former of the two reasons, Dr. Broumand notes that toning excess skin and leftover fat on the front and back of the arms is often a struggle for weight loss patients, and "an arm lift is generally the most effective solution."
In part two of the series, titled "," Dr. Broumand covers what to expect during the consultation process as well as the arm lift procedure. Key notes for the consultation include his request for patients to get down to an ideal weight prior to surgery in order to ensure the safest, most effective treatment and results. In order for patients to do so, he says he often refers them to his practice's dietician, or helps them start an exercise program and supplement regimen to facilitate the process. Regarding the actual procedure, Dr. Broumand highlights his specific approach to surgery and his innovative techniques for hiding any visible scarring.
The third and final blog entry -- "" -- details the typical recovery process patients can expect following their procedure. In this post, Dr. Broumand touches on post-surgical instructions, follow-up visits, the timetable for healing, and more. In conclusion, he notes: "Arm lift surgery is a great operation for the right patient. There is a lot more we can accomplish these days with the variety of treatments we have available, and the emphasis is now on making the arms look good, shapely, and athletic."
