The Nomination Board proposes to the Annual General Meeting of Kemira Oyj that
the current President and CEO of Kemira Oyj, Wolfgang Büchele, be elected as a
member of the Board of Directors. Wolfgang Büchele will leave his position as
the President and CEO of Kemira Oyj on April 30, 2014.
Chairman of the Nomination Board Pekka Paasikivi: "Wolfgang Büchele has done
excellent work as the President and CEO of Kemira. We are pleased that despite
of leaving his current position, Wolfgang Büchele's strong experience and deep
industrial knowledge is further available to Kemira through the membership in
the Board of Directors. Büchele's membership in the Board of Directors will
enable the continuity in the implementation of Kemira's strategy focusing on
water quality and quantity management."
The Nomination Board will deliver to the Board of Directors of Kemira Oyj its
proposals on the full composition of the Board of Directors and on the
remuneration of the Board of Directors by February 1, 2014.
The Nomination Board consists of the following representatives: Pekka Paasikivi,
Chairman of the Board of Oras Invest Oy as the Chairman of the Nomination Board;
Kari Järvinen, Managing Director of Solidium Oy; Risto Murto, Executive Vice
President, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Timo Ritakallio, Deputy
CEO, Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company as members of the Nomination
Board and Jukka Viinanen, Chairman of Kemira's Board of Directors as an expert
member.
