BMO Capital Markets Donates $1.1 Million to North American Charities
- More than $13.4 million has been raised through the program since 2005
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO and NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- (Marketwired) -- 09/27/13 -- BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE: BMO)(TSX: BMO), announced today it will donate $1.1 million to eight charities across North America from the firm's Equity Through Education charitable program.
The donation marks the ninth consecutive year that BMO Capital Markets has donated institutional equity trading commissions, earned on its Equity Through Education Day in the U.S. and Canada, to charities whose goal it is to providegreater access to education for less advantaged youth through scholarships, bursaries and other programs.

Since it was launched eight years ago, Equity Through Education has raised $13.4 million and has assisted more than 2,500 individuals.
