Maxim Group LLC Expands Equity Research Department With the Appointment of a Senior Energy Analyst

Mr. Barone's appointment is part of an ongoing expansion of Maxim Group's Equity Research Division. "The addition of Ron, a well-respected analyst with a large institutional following, supports our growth initiatives in verticals that our clients have expressed a strong interest in coverage," said Anthony V. Prior to joining Maxim Group, Mr. Barone served as a Managing Director of the Natural Gas and Electric Power Group at UBS since 2000. An Analyst since 1971, he specializes in Natural Gas Pipelines/Distribution companies. During his career, Mr. Barone has also covered Exploration & Production companies, Electric Utilities, Coal companies, Independent Power Producers, and Master Limited Partnerships. He has been ranked on Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team for 38 consecutive years and was ranked number one in the Natural Gas category from 2007-2012. Prior to the UBS AG acquisition of PaineWebber Inc., Ron was the Natural Gas Analyst at PaineWebber. Before that, he followed Natural Gas and Electric Utilities at Kidder Peabody & Co. Mr. Barone is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Gas Foundation. He holds an M.B.A. from New York University and a B.A. in economics from Manhattan College.
