French Lower-Rhine water resources management equip field staff with Convertible PCs
(PresseBox) - LOGIC INSTRUMENT, a leading provider of notebooks and tablet PCs for extreme environments, today announced the signing of the contract with the Syndicat des Eaux et de l'Assainissement (SDEA), the water resources management of the French district Lower Rhine (Bas-Rhine). The contract specifies the delivery of the Fieldbook C1 rugged convertible PC, the latest addition to the Fieldbook series. The new contract is valued at a total of ?325,710 and confirms the competence of LOGIC INSTRUMENT in the field of rugged mobile computers. The contract validates the strategic decision of LOGIC INSTRUMENTS, to expand its portfolio for industrial computers. Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2011.
Following a tender received in early 2011, LOGIC
INSTRUMENT was selected by the SDEA, whose main business areas are wastewater systems and the renovation and the distribution of drinking water for over 740,000 people in the Lower Rhine district. In their daily operations, SDEA's field staff are constantly exposed to changing and difficult environments while optimizing processes and controlling work procedures. Computer used in these environments are also exposed to harsh environmental conditions. That's why SDEA relies on the extensive experience of LOGIC INSTRUMENT and the new Fieldbook C1 computer. Whether used as Notebook or space saving Tablet PC with Touchscreen, the Fieldbook C1 is a professional working tool for the field staff, which helps them to get their daily tasks done better than before.
