This ride & drive event is part of the High-Efficiency Truck Users Forum (HTUF) national meeting that is occurring this week in Chicago from Oct. 7-9.
The 10 million U.S. heavy trucks and buses only comprise 4% of all vehicles, but use 25% of all highway fuel. Replacing just one heavy duty truck with an energy efficient model can have the same impact as swapping 24 hybrid passenger cars.
