(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Kongsberg, June 30 2009Significant business wins in Brazil for Kongsberg AutomotiveKongsberg Automotive continues its strong growth in Brazil with fivenew contracts with Brazilian truck and bus manufacturers during thesecond quarter 2009. The total estimated value of the contracts is 26million EURO (243 MNOK). This is the largest ever business win duringone quarter for Kongsberg Automotive in the Brazilian market. Serialproduction starts already during 2009 for four of the contracts.Among the business wins is a major gearshift contract with a leadingSouth American truck manufacturer. This is the third major gearshiftcontract won in the Brazilian truck market over the last 12 months.With this contract Kongsberg Automotive truly consolidates itsposition as the leading supplier of gearshift systems to theBrazilian truck and bus industry. Other business wins includes clutchservo contracts with two new customers for Kongsberg Automotive inBrazil. It is expected that these contracts will open up newopportunities with these customers.With the new contracts during the second quarter 2009, the value ofbusiness wins in Brazil the last 12 months totals more than 50million EURO.
