Fortuna Claims Property Update
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/16/13 -- Victory Ventures Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: VVN) (FRANKFURT: VV0) announces that it is commencing an initial field examination of the Fortuna property claims, located 60 kilometres north of Kamloops, BC. The 608.9 hectare mineral property is crossed by an all-weather, road, and is located 12 kilometres east of Highway 5 and 10 kliometres southeast of the community of Louis Creek, BC.
President, Dennis Vigouret, along with a Qualified Person, will visit the property to carry out an assessment of the property and to collect rock samples for assay analyses. The field assessment will include an examination and sampling of an exposed trench as well as to examine the area of a collapsed adit. The general exploration target is that of a volcanogenic massive deposit type (copper-lead zinc).
The Fortuna property was acquired by Victory Ventures in July, 2013. A description of the Property was presented in company news release of July 2, 2013. The property was worked on in the early 1900's with several reported ore shipments, but has seen little modern exploration work. The main area of mineralization lies within three zones of prominent rock alteration with locally intense silicification and sericitization of the host rocks. The primary sulphide mineralization is pyrite with local concentrations of galena and chalcopyrite. The mineral zones are hosted in northwest trending and northeast dipping chloritized schists and metasediments belonging to the Devonian to Mississippian age Eagle Bay assemblage.
This initial property examination will contribute towards a planned future exploration program on the Property.
