Rolf Elgeti transfers his private real-estate investments to trustees
- Specific legal and tax structure to be realised by the turn of the year
- Clear commitment to TAG Immobilien AG
Hamburg (16 October 2013) - Rolf Elgeti, CEO of TAG Immobilien AG, has
decided to transfer his private real estate investments into trustee
relationships by the turn of the year. The legal details of this transfer
will be fine-tuned in the weeks ahead and are to be finalised by the end of
the year. By taking this step, Elgeti signals a clear commitment to his
role as CEO of TAG Immobilien AG: 'The shareholders, tenants, partners and
employees of TAG have been and continue to be the focus of my professional
interest since I took office. To make this perfectly clear, I will hand
over the management of my private real estate investments.'
Mr Elgeti further states: 'Prior to my appointment as CEO of TAG Immobilien
AG, I was an independent businessman and a consultant on the purchase and
management of real estate. Most of my holdings, with a wide range of
partners, date from this period. These holdings were a key part of my
compensation for these activities. In June 2009 I was appointed CEO of TAG
at
short notice. Before taking office, I disclosed my holdings, and it was
part of my agreements with the supervisory board that I would be able to
retain these investments as long as this did not involve any conflicts of
interest or impede my work as CEO. All investments made since then were
also executed with the supervisory board's knowledge and approval. I want
to counteract the uncertainty that has arisen with all the means at my
disposal and underscore that the future of TAG is my top priority. This is
my personal decision and I see it as an unequivocal commitment to TAG.'
