New WOLFFs for Germany - WOLFFKRAN strengthens its presence in the domestic market
As an innovative crane manufacturer with a “Made in Germany” tradition, WOLFFKRAN presently operates five subsidiaries in Germany. The company is currently expanding its sales network in Germany with a view to achieving increased growth in the domestic market. To drive the business forwards, WOLFFKRAN brought on board, in November 2010 and February 2011, two new sales representatives with multi-regional responsibilities. Thomas Odenbreit will be pursuing sales in Western Germany, and Wolfgang Kavelius in Southern Germany. The team is being managed by Andreas Kahl who, since taking on the role of managing director of Wolffkran Germany at the beginning of this year, has been putting in place new sales structures. Prior to joining WOLFFKRAN, Karl was the managing director of a leading construction machinery company for many years, as well as being engaged by an international crane leasing company.
Wolffkran´s new German Sales Team: (from left to right) Thomas Odenbreit, Andreas Kahl, Wolfgang Kav(firmenpresse) - In his new position at WOLFFKRAN, Andreas Kahl regards it as his key responsibility to capture more of the domestic German market. “We will be concentrating our efforts not only on winning international construction companies but also medium-sized German companies. Having a local presence, right near these clients, is essential for success”. Professional support at sites in Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, the South-West and Munich will continue to be provided by the respective subsidiaries in those areas. In addition, the sales representatives Odenbreit and Kavelius will be working across multiple subsidiary territories to bring in new client business.
A further important task of the new managing director in Germany will be to expand the company-internal service teams for WOLFF cranes. “We are in the process of hiring more installers, and electronic engineers specializing in troubleshooting. We are also currently reviewing the range of services we offer”, says Kahl.
WOLFFKRAN has not only been increasing its staff numbers but also its fleet of WOLFF cranes for lease. “Our global leasing fleet of slewing tower cranes now comprises 650 cranes. These are adequate to cover the continuously growing demand of our clients, including in Germany”. Particularly noteworthy, in this regard, is that the leasing fleet capacity was well utilized even during last winter. “A remarkable result that we can build upon”, Karl emphasizes.
The leasing fleet has grown, in particular, through the addition of mid to high end cranes, for example the XXL crane model, the WOLFF 8033.
By increasing its presence in Germany, WOLFFKRAN is demonstrating a clear commitment to servicing the domestic market and offering more on-site customer service.
