Atikwa Resources Inc. Announces Dismissal of Dissident Shareholders Application
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/21/13 -- Atikwa Resources Inc. ("Atikwa" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ATK) is pleased to announce that pursuant to a decision of the Court of Queen's Bench of the Province of Alberta (the "Court"), the previously announced application by the dissident shareholder group ("Dissident") contesting the election of directors at the Company's annual and special meeting held on August 30th has been dismissed with the costs payable to Atikwa. Pursuant to the decision of Justice G.C. Hawco of the Court, the evidence presented by the Dissidents in support of their application failed to satisfy the Court that there was any issue respecting the conduct of the election and annual and special meetings, and more particularly, the court held that the Company's slate of directors was properly elected. The Company is pleased by the Court's decision and is continuing to execute on its business plan.
