OCTANe Announces Inaugural Economic Impact Award
Award Recognizes Innovative Contributions in Building the Southern California High Technology Ecosystem
(firmenpresse) - ALISO VIEJO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/22/13 -- , the Orange County startup accelerator dedicated to connecting people and ideas with capital and resources to fuel technology growth and create jobs, today recognized Miles "Lowell" Edwards as the inaugural recipient of the newly created OCTANe Economic Impact award at its signature event -- the Medical Device and Investor Forum.
The newly-created award honored Lowell Edwards, founder of Edwards Laboratories, now Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW). Edwards left his fingerprint in Orange County, helping to create more than 25 companies that employed approximately 25,000 employees in the region. Edwards' dedication to the medical field will always be remembered.
