ATCO Structures & Logistics Opens Manufacturing Plant in Australia
150,000 Sq. Ft. Facility Near Perth to Create 100 Local Jobs
(firmenpresse) - PERTH, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/24/13 -- ATCO Structures & Logistics Pty. Ltd (ATCO) announced today the official opening of its new manufacturing plant in Australia. The 150,000 sq. ft. (approx. 14,000 sq. m.) facility, located in the Latitude 32 Industrial Zone in the city of Kwinana, is ATCO's newest in Australia. With the addition of this facility, ATCO now operates six manufacturing plants in the country.
The site was chosen due to its proximity and access to distribution networks including road, rail and port as well as the capacity to draw on an established supply chain infrastructure and workforce for the future growth of the business. ATCO anticipates that the facility will create approximately 100 new jobs in the Kwinana area within the first three years of operation.

As a demonstration of this commitment, ATCO also announced today a new partnership with the City of Kwinana that will support the council's National Aboriginies and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) celebrations, a series of events that focus on promoting and increasing cross-cultural understanding of the city's large Indigenous population.
The Kwinana plant is currently manufacturing modular units for the Wheatstone Project that was recently awarded to ATCO. This was ATCO's fourth major contract award supporting LNG projects in Australia. In 2011 and 2012, ATCO delivered three large workforce housing projects for LNG facilities on Curtis Island, providing more than 6,000 beds for workers constructing LNG terminals.
