Zhone Technologies Closes Q3 with Continued Momentum
Leader in FTTH access solutions reports global growth and a rise in MXK
deployments
Oakland, CA - October 24, 2013 - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a
global leader in FTTx network access solutions, continues to demonstrate global
growth and expansion for its industry-leading MXK(TM) by exceeding a total of
more than 5,300 system deployments with over 150 service providers in 40
countries by the close of Q3 2013.
Demonstrating strong market leadership, Zhone continued to focus its deployment
efforts on Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON), increasing its GPON
subscriber capacity to 36 million and shipping more than 4.3 million of its GPON
Ports globally. Additionally, Zhone shipped over 124,000 zNID Optical Network
Terminals (ONTs) and deployed more than 375,000 FTTx Optical Line Terminals
(OLTs).
