Digital First Media Sells San Jose Mercury News Campus to Super Micro Computer

(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 10/31/13 -- today announced the completion of the sale of the nearly 36-acre campus to Super Micro Computer, Inc.

The Company first announced the sale agreement with Super Micro Computer, Inc., a global leader in high-performance, high-efficiency server, storage technology and green computing, in September.

"This is a big step forward in Digital First Media's ongoing digital transformation. We will continue to work to identify the best possible space for the San Jose Mercury News' newsgathering, sales and operation units going forward," said Steve Rossi, President and Publisher of the . The sale agreement includes the 35.68-acre campus -- currently home to the San Jose Mercury News and Bay Area News Group, including the 312,000-square-foot main building and 12,000-square foot garage.

The San Jose Mercury News will continue to occupy the building and plans to relocate operations in 2014.
