International Thermal Spray Conference 2011 will place its faith in practical applications
(PresseBox) - On September 27 - 29, 2011, the International Thermal Spray Conference & Exposition (ITSC) will take place in Hamburg. At the English-language specialist conference, experts will report on key technologies in thermal spraying and will exchange specialist know-how. ITSC will show potentials for thermally sprayed coats and will provide interested users with information. For this purpose, the event will use the modern concept of the networking of globally renowned conferences and exhibitions in the joining, cutting and coating sectors - this year, the DVS Congress and the DVS Expo in Hamburg. ITSC 2011 will focus on practically oriented application highlights: Amongst others, maritime technologies will be introduced as an example of growing and future applications of thermal spraying.
With the motto of "Different Days, Different Markets", the five-section ITSC 2011 will offer over 200 lectures in total. Emphasis will be placed on applications and developments in the fields of automobile construction, aerospace engineering, gas turbines, medical technology and tribological coats. In addition, up-and-coming scientists will also present their latest results in the series of lectures entitled "Young Professionals".
On the second and third days, the organisers will invite the visitors to a poster show with over 160 objects. In this respect, the authors will be in situ and will be available for questions and discussions.
One essential objective of the specialist conference will be the practically oriented connection of research, technology and qualification in the thermal spraying field. The organisers are DVS - Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V. (German Welding Society), the ASM Thermal Spray Society (TSS) and the International Institute of Welding (IIW). In particular, the three associations want to arouse the interest of the companies for the all-encompassing exchange of technical-scientific information.
The organisers are expecting over 2,000 participants in the DVS Congress and the DVS Expo and are calling upon all companies, researchers and trainers in the thermal spraying field to come to the event in Hamburg! The proceedings with all the lectures on the occasion of ITSC and the DVS Congress will be published by DVS Media GmbH and will be available at the congress as a printed version and as a USB stick. All the lectures and events outside ITSC and the research colloquium on thermal spraying will take place in the German language.
