Burcon Sets Second Fiscal Quarter 2014 Conference Call for Wednesday,

Vancouver, British Columbia, October 31, 2013 - Burcon NutraScience
Corporation (TSX:BU, NASDAQ:BUR), a leader in functional, renewable plant
proteins, will hold a conference call on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at
5:00 p.m. Eastern time to discuss its results for its fiscal second quarter
ended September 30, 2013. Financial results will be announced in a news
release prior to the call.

followed by a question and answer period.
