Black Oak Arkansas Return to New York City After 32 Years
Documentary Premieres on Palladia and VH1 Classic
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 11/04/13 -- After 40 years in the music business, Black Oak Arkansas has THE story to tell. Premiering on Palladia on November 10th, and again on VH1 Classic November 15th, the official Black Oak Arkansas hour-long documentary, 40 Years of Heaven, Hell N' High Water, depicts the band through gold records and jail time. already premiered the first half in four webisodes as part of Black Oak Arkansas Week ending on October 18th, which Mayor Mark Stodola of Little Rock Arkansas declared Black Oak Arkansas Day.
As for the band's future, Atco/ Atlantic has released a new record, "Back Thar N' Over Yonder," including ten uncovered Tom Dowd produced tracks along with five new songs. To mark this, the band will play BB Kings November 4th for their first show in New York City in 32 years. The band is in the midst of nationwide tour dates, including a recent sold out show at LA's famed Whiskey, which marked their first return to the venue in 42 years.
