These illnesses greatly hinder daily functions. There are several critical sources of mental disorders, including genetic components and family history. Your life experiences, such as past and current stresses or a previous event of abuse, may also affect your cognitive health and result in mental illness. Biological factors can also be part of the cause, such as brain injury; stroke or medications can result in the formation of mental disorders. Other factors may increase the risk of mental illness, such as use of illegal drugs. Recovery from many of these illnesses must stem from developing clear and precise treatment plans that are patient specific. However, in a field where symptoms are often objectively described, extending a universal treatment plan is impossible and inefficient. Therefore more optimized, personalized therapies are needed.
