Curanum AG: quarterly results affected by PHÖNIX integration
Curanum AG, Germany's largest listed care home operator, has today
published its quarterly results. Revenue during the first nine months of
2013 grew by EUR 17.8 million to EUR 233.1 million compared to the previous
year's period while the operating EBITDA fell by EUR 1.9 million to EUR
25.3 million, particularly due to the higher personal expenses. Overall,
the Group reports only a slight net profit after tax of EUR 0.6 million
(previous year EUR 6.1 million) due to extraordinary effects of EUR 3.1
million connected with the now-completed Group structural rationalization
and extraordinary expenses relating to the planned integration of the
PHÖNIX Group. As a result of the transfer of the operating assets of the
PHÖNIX Group as of September 1, 2013, CURANUM now operates 13,000 care beds
and 2,400 serviced apartments.
