Threadless and Warner Bros. Records Launch Three Tegan and Sara T-Shirts Designed by Fans Around the World
Winning Artist Receives $2,500 and Other Prizes for T-shirt Design
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 11/11/13 -- Threadless, the global design community, has announced the winning designs from their t-shirt design challenge with indie/pop duo Tegan and Sara. The four-week design challenge, launched on August 1, 2013, called upon Threadless' community of artists and art enthusiasts to create and vote on original t-shirt artwork to celebrate the release of Tegan and Sara's seventh studio album, Heartthrob.
After more than 253,000 votes on over 400 design submissions, "I'm Not Your Hero" by Casandra Ng Hwee Yin of Serdang, Malaysia was chosen as the grand prize winner. For her winning design, the artist received $2,500 cash, a $500 Threadless gift code, a Tegan and Sara prize pack that includes a signed limited edition complete vinyl collection box set, and her design sold as a t-shirt on Threadless.com.

Along with Hwee Yin's grand prize design, two additional t-shirt designs from this challenge will be available on Threadless' website at Threadless.com/bands.

This Tegan and Sara challenge is Threadless' second in an ongoing partnership with Warner Bros. Records, following a design challenge with the Flaming Lips in May 2013.
