Sumo Logic Announces Integration With AWS CloudTrail
Organizations Can Generate Real Time Insights Into IT Security and Operational Effectiveness

(firmenpresse) - REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/13/13 -- , the next generation company, today announced its integration with and support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) CloudTrail -- a new service that records API calls made to AWS, launched earlier today. Organizations can use the advanced analytics and visualization capabilities of Sumo Logic to rapidly create actionable security and operations forensics for AWS customers. The Sumo Logic integration with AWS CloudTrail enables companies to identify patterns and uncover anomalies related to user activity, network and configuration changes and resource usage.
"Companies are in desperate need to not only aggregate all machine data but obtain deep insights from that data in order to identify and fix operational issues and quickly verify compliance with internal security policies," said Vance Loiselle, president and CEO of Sumo Logic. "Our integration with AWS CloudTrail significantly improves the security visibility customers get across their AWS infrastructure as they expand their use of cloud computing."
Organizations can enable this solution by simply turning on AWS CloudTrail in the AWS Management console and by activating the Sumo Logic application for AWS CloudTrail. Sumo Logic requires no software installation, allowing companies to immediately start searching, analyzing and visualizing the data produced by AWS CloudTrail. All current Sumo Logic customers will gain access to the pre-built dashboards and searches at no cost. In addition to direct analysis of the log data from AWS CloudTrail, companies can also correlate user activity and resource usage across other data sets to get a complete picture of user activity across a company's entire infrastructure.
"Amazon Web Services remains the most popular cloud deployment option for enterprises," said Dennis Callaghan, senior analyst at 451 Research. "Supporting the latest AWS products as they become available gives Sumo Logic an edge in collecting and analyzing machine data from the cloud, in the cloud."
Sumo Logic will be demonstrating its integration with AWS CloudTrail at Booth #117. Additionally, Sumo Logic chief technology officer and co-founder, Christian Beedgen, will be presenting at a session on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m., entitled:
