Green Building Initiative and Energy Solutions Center Collaborate to Provide Green Building Assessment Tools to Gas Companies

(firmenpresse) - PORTLAND, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 07/13/11 -- The Green Building Initiative (GBI) and Energy Solutions Center (ESC) recently entered a marketing affiliation agreement to introduce ESC members, a trade association of gas utilities, and their clients, to the Green Globes rating, assessment, and certification system. The two organizations will collaborate to provide commercial consumers of natural gas information to help make their buildings more energy efficient.

GBI is the exclusive U.S. licensee of Green Globes, a tool that enables commercial building owners to evaluate their energy performance, reduce energy consumption, and evaluate other aspects related to the sustainability of their buildings.

"Through the partnership with Green Globes, the Energy Solutions Center can more readily provide guidance and direction to hundreds of utility professionals and thousands of commercial customers about options for construction and maintenance of green buildings," said Eric Burgis, Director of Commercial Markets for the Energy Solutions Center.
