KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 14.11.2013 AT 09.00 1(2)
The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in October 2013 totalled ?826.9 million,
down 2.5%.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in October were ?391.9 million, an increase of
3.2% compared to the previous year.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in October were ?126.5 million, a
decrease of 11.5%. Sales performance was particularly impacted by the decrease
in department store sales, as well as network changes in Musta Pörssi and
Intersport Russia.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in October were ?239.7
million, a decrease of 7.5%. In terms of local currencies and excluding the
impact of retailer changes in Norway, sales increased by 2.1%. Sales in Finland
were at the previous year's level. Sales abroad decreased by 12.8% in terms of
euros. In terms of local currencies and excluding the impact of retailer changes
in Norway, sales growth in foreign operations was 3.4%.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in October were ?85.4 million, an increase
of 3.4%. VV-Auto's sales in October were ?68.8 million, up 11.4%. Konekesko's
sales in October were ?16.7 million, a decrease of 20.3% from the previous year.

In October 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
23, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of selling days
in January-October was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail
selling days in October was 31, which was the same as in the previous year. The
total number of retail selling days in January-October was one less than in the
previous year.
