Lithium Americas Comments on Recent Trading Activity

(TSX: LAC) ("Lithium Americas" orthe "Company") is issuing this press release in response to recent unusual trading activity in its shares. The Company is not aware of any circumstances that could reasonably be expected to justify the recent trading activity. The Company continues to pursue ongoing corporate development initiatives and financing opportunities in relation to the development of its Cauchari- Olaroz lithium project. However, at this time, none of these initiatives and opportunities have advanced to a stage that would warrant public disclosure.
The Company filed its third quarter 2013 financial statements and MD&A on SEDAR last night.
