Hamburg, 15 November 2013 - Capital Stage AG from Hamburg acquires the
solar farm Wolgast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The farm is currently under
construction on a green field of 13.2 ha and is going to have a capacity of
8 MWp. The entry into service according to the German Renewable Energy Act
is scheduled for December 2013. The closing of the transaction is subject
to customary conditions precedent. After the closing of the transaction,
Capital Stage's total portfolio of solar and wind farms consists of power
plants with a total capacity of around 200 MWp.
Felix Goedhart, CEO of Capital Stage AG: 'The acquisition shows, that even
with the current feed-in-tariffs for PV power plants in Germany we are able
to identifiy farms with attractive returns. We are achieving this not least
due to our excellent network, as we have acquired the farm from proven
partners.' Recently, Capital Stage successfully closed the largest capital
increase in the company's history, receiving funds of around 50 million
euros for growth investments. 'We have envisaged our investors further
growth in short notice. Now we put this into practice', says Goedhart.
After the closing of the current transaction the company still has free
liquidity of approximately 60 million euros for further acquisitions. The
investment scope includes solar and wind farms in Germany, Northern Italy
and France.
