SDRL - Mandatory notification of trade

Hamilton, Bermuda, November 20, 2013 - Seadrill Limited ("the Company") has
through market purchases executed on November 19, repurchased 300,000 of the
Company's own common stock at an average price of NOK279.6 per share.
In connection with the Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP), eligible
option holders have exercised options to acquire 526,343 common shares at strike
prices varying from NOK20.7 to NOK202.1 per share.
The Company has used treasury shares to settle the obligation related to the
share option plan.
After these transactions the Company has a holding of 321,316 treasury shares.
The Total Return Swap agreement entered into on September 5(th), 2013 at the
same time has been reduced from 1.7 million shares to 1.4 million shares.
