Fortress Real Developments and MADY Select a Winner for the 'LiveWorkPlay Winnipeg' Naming Contest

Fortress and MADY are thrilled to announce they have selected a winner for the '' naming contest. This iconic downtown Winnipeg mixed-use development project will soar over 40-storeys and include residential condominium apartments, office space, and retail/commercial uses. The rendering and design of the development by award-winning Kirkor Architects, was revealed in September along with the naming contest.
The contest garnered over 3,500 submissions from across Manitoba and demonstrated the enthusiasm for this project within the community and the province.
"When it came time to name this project, we felt it was important to involve the local community," said , CEO of Fortress. "We wanted the name to really reflect the scale and scope of this vertical village in the heart of downtown Winnipeg," added Charles Mady, CEO of MADY.
The name along with a logo for this development project will be revealed at a special media event in Winnipeg the first week of December. The winner of the naming contest has been contacted and will be presented with a prize of $3,000 as outlined in the contest rules.
